The Map to Help You Discover Life Balance
Balance. We’re all walking this road of life trying to find balance in our careers, finances, wellness, and personal lives. But this walk is not going to be a straight line from Point A to Point B, and it’s common to feel off-balance and stressed-out. What if there was a map designed to help you identify areas of your life that were out of alignment? What if this map could also help you find your way back on track?
That’s what the ClarityWrx diamond mapping process helps participants achieve. This process accounts for four strategic areas of life:
- Business and Career- Are you feeling burned out, unsuccessful, or overworked?
- Financial Independence- Do you grow weary of living paycheck to paycheck?
- Health and Fitness- Would you like to walk up a flight of stairs without feeling winded?
- Family and Personal Life- Do you need more quality time with those who mean the most to you?
By exploring these four strategic areas with a FocalPoint business coach, diamond mapping participants can discover potential road bumps that might be ahead. For instance, you might be incredibly successful in your career but rarely make time to see your family or go to the gym. Maybe you hate your job… except the paychecks are great, so you continue to show up day after day. These are examples of unbalanced lifestyles. Certain categories are hitting the mark, while others are paying the price.
“The goal of diamond-mapping is to understand where you are now, and where you want to be a year from now. By analyzing and looking at how unbalanced your diamond is, you can identify how to become balanced with simple lifestyle changes,” noted Scott Henderson, FocalPoint Business Coach. “You will need to determine a starting point, and then begin benchmarking your progress. Master the art of balance.”
A perfect diamond is not necessarily the end goal of this process. Sometimes, it’s okay to be a bit off-balance. Just the simple act of walking requires an ongoing imbalance. Likewise, if we want to get from here to there in terms of our goals, some imbalance may be necessary in the short-term. The end goal is to better understand your diamond and have a more conscious idea of where you want your balance to be.
